Meanwhile, Qatar Airways, the airport’s hub carrier, introduced new routes to major cities such as Osaka, Hamburg, Lisbon, and Toronto, enhancing the travel experience for millions of passengers.
Strong Market Growth Across Regions
Passenger volumes surged in multiple markets, particularly in Asia and Europe. Travel to China increased by an impressive 87%, reflecting the growing demand for business and leisure travel. Emerging Asian markets such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam also experienced robust growth.
Meanwhile, mature European markets remained strong, with the UK, Germany, Spain, and France achieving double-digit growth in passenger numbers. This reinforces Hamad International Airport’s reputation as a premier transit hub for both eastern and western travellers.
