    Durham University Launches MSc. in Supply Chain Management

    Durham University Business School is excited to announce the launch of its new Executive MSc, “in Supply Chain Management, with classes starting in September 2024. This cutting-edge programme is designed to address the complex challenges facing today’s supply chain professionals and to prepare them for leadership roles in an evolving sector marked by disruptions and a strong emphasis on sustainability.

    Programme Overview

    The Executive MSc. will be delivered in a blended format, combining both on-campus and online learning over a two-year period. This flexible structure allows participants to integrate their studies with their professional responsibilities, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive educational experience.

    Modern Challenges

    Prof. Atanu Chaudhuri, Programme Director, emphasizes the importance of adapting to current global supply chain issues: “Today’s supply networks are under significant strain from various risks, including natural and man-made disasters. With the growing need for environmental, social, and economic sustainability, it is crucial for supply chain leaders to leverage advanced technologies and analytics. Our programme is designed to equip participants with these essential skills.”

    Curriculum Focus

    The Executive MSc. curriculum has been crafted to address the demands of businesses operating in a volatile environment. Participants will engage in modules that cover functional supply chain skills, along with crucial communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities. The programme also integrates analytics, data science, and strategic business management to provide a holistic understanding of modern supply chains.
