The pair were confirmed winners of the Fiji-set series, walking away with the $100,000 prize, according to Instagram. Love Island USA Season 8: The Basics
The season launched on 2 June on Peacock, with the finale airing on 13 July, lohud.com reports. 34 contestants passed through the villa across the run, according to Wikipedia, making it a packed and fast-moving season. Ariana Madix hosted throughout. Viewers voted to keep their favourite couples in Fiji and eventually crowned the winners, as always needing the Love Island USA app to cast their ballots.
Peacock announced the cast on 28 May, dropping a teaser of the singles in their beachy best, each declaring themselves ready for love. Or at least, ready for Fiji.
