Doors at İstanbul Expo Center will open again to the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) when its fourth edition is held January 6 to 9, 2027. Over 500 exhibitors are being lined up to meet about 35,000 trade professionals hailing from upwards of 150 nations, opening new doors for international commerce and collaboration.
Istanbul, Türkiye: Dates of January 6 to 9, 2027 have been confirmed for The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027, whose venue is the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM). Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. organises it, backed by the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).
Wholesalers, architects, importers, chain stores, interior designers and manufacturers will head to Istanbul for an event that ties Türkiye’s international weight in carpet manufacture to global trade.
A crossroads for the carpet trade
Buyers from overseas will see how much Türkiye can produce, how strong its design skills are and how well placed it is, while exhibitors can use the fair to open new markets, form export relationships and cultivate global partnerships.
The organisers’ expectation is that ICFE 2027 will feature over 500 exhibitors and a visitor count of roughly 35,000, drawn from beyond 150 countries.
Exhibitors will spend the fair making fresh trade contacts with professional buyers whose home markets carry real weight in the floor coverings and carpet business, among them Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Central Asian countries.
Location gives the city a commercial edge
Europe and Asia meet at Istanbul, a natural crossroads where advanced transport links and logistics facilities boost ICFE’s standing with visitors from abroad.
Because the city offers direct flights across an extensive network, reaching the fair is simple for professionals everywhere, and exhibitors can meet buyers from several markets under a single roof.
A customs cut aimed at foreign participants

A significant new regulation aimed at backing the exhibition and widening international participation has come from the Directorate General of Customs of the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade. Previously, Türkiye’s customs legislation charged the temporary customs duty on items shipped in by overseas exhibitors at a rate of 100%, based on each item’s FOB (Free on Board) value. The new rate of 10% is reserved for ICFE 2027.
The public bodies concerned and sector representatives worked closely and at length to shape the rule, which should substantially ease costs for exhibitors from abroad whose stands carry high-value products. It should also widen the circle of participating countries and add to international business done at the exhibition.
Ideas, design and expertise on the programme
Trading is only one strand of ICFE 2027, which will also hold events to help the industry grow, spur innovation and spread knowledge.
Carpet Talks, a strong draw at earlier editions, is coming back, giving top industry names another chance to debate design, production, branding and sectoral transformation.
At the Carpet Design Awards, inventive carpet work will face an international audience, so that professionals across the industry notice original designs. For inspiration, the Carpet Workshop offers visitors a special concept: designers from a range of countries combining efforts on production.
A place for the trade to do business
Through ICFE 2027, manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other industry professionals gain a trade platform from which to look for new business openings.
Participants can use their time at the fair to find new suppliers, keep pace with emerging industry trends, book B2B meetings and grow their business contacts abroad.
The last edition attracted 445 exhibitors, and its 31,410 visitors represented 127 countries. From that base, ICFE 2027 is chasing a wider turnout and greater international visibility to climb higher among the world’s major carpet and flooring shows.
