The Cosmopolitan NYFW party landed at Sloane’s during New York Fashion Week, pulling together a night of live music, dancing and a guest list that mixed fashion regulars with reality TV faces and rising names.
The Venue and the Dress Code
The party took place at Sloane’s, a cocktail bar on the second floor of The Manner on Thompson Street. Intimate is the word for it: not a vast venue with roped-off sections, but a close space where the crowd actually mingles. The dress code was billed as after-dark romance, and guests delivered, arriving in everything from fringed little black dresses to lingerie-inspired pieces. Cocktails came courtesy of Proximo Spirits, easing everyone into the evening before things properly kicked off.
DJ Tyde Levi opened the night, setting the tone as guests filtered in. The crowd warmed up fast.
Willa Bennett, Del Water Gap and a Matching YSL Suit
Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Willa Bennett hosted alongside singer-songwriter Del Water Gap. The pairing was not just professional: both turned up in matching Saint Laurent suits, which set the bar early for the evening’s styling.
Just before midnight, Bennett delivered a toast, not to wind things down, but to introduce a live set from Del Water Gap. He performed acoustic versions of Doll House, High Tops, and Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat, the last of which landed as the clear highlight of the set. A surprise for the room, and the kind of live moment that separates a good party from one people actually talk about the next day.
After the performance, Tyde Levi returned to close out the event as Saturday night rolled into Sunday morning. Bennett joined Tyde behind the DJ booth. Tyde’s sister Sage joined the Cosmo editors on the dance floor as guests made the most of their final cocktails before heading back out into Fashion Week.
The Guest List
The Cosmopolitan NYFW party brought out a broad mix. Cosmopolitan collaborators on the night included Ronnie Hart, Daniel Gaines, Chloe Grace Press, Jake Sammis and Olivia Parker. Julia Mervis, Madison Hu and Benito Skinner were among those on the dance floor.
The Love Island USA contingent made a strong showing. Trinity Tatum, who earlier in the week had made her fashion week debut wearing Tommy Hilfiger, attended alongside fellow Season 8 cast members Aniya Harvey, Melanie Moreno and Kayda Bosse. Bryce Alakai and Zach Georgiou were also there.
Tatum’s week had already been one to remember before the party even started. The Season 8 winner stepped out in Tommy Hilfiger earlier in the week for her fashion week debut, wearing a look described as Aliyah-inspired, which marked the kind of first appearance that tends to get people paying attention.
Why This Kind of Evening Works
Fashion Week after-parties have shifted from afterthought to main event over the past few seasons. When the venue is right-sized and the guest list actually reflects people who know each other, the atmosphere follows. Sloane’s kept things tight, the live performance gave the night shape, and the door policy held: the Cosmo party did not feel like a carpet-and-logo exercise.
The Cosmopolitan NYFW party wrapped as guests headed back into another day of shows and fittings, a clean end to a night that ran exactly as long as it needed to. If the Del Water Gap acoustic set is anything to go by, the bar is now set for whatever Cosmo puts together next season.
