Case Study - Jill Haddrick – Active Newcastle Golf
Jill has been attending Active Newcastle sessions since 2015. She initially joined the Active Health Why Weight sessions when she retired and found out about the additional sessions Active Newcastle offered. Her initial reason for attending session was be more active and meet new people.
Jill has been attending the women’s Golf sessions for a number of years now. As a beginner and never really playing before the classes were a fun way to get in to golf.
Jill says “Active Newcastle provide the equipment and excellent coaching, there are a number of women I have met through golf like myself who didn’t think golf was for them and thought it was all a little snobby, however the Active Newcastle Golf programme breaks down this and is fun and not your typical golf environment”
The people Jill has met at the session have encouraged her to try other activities within the Active Newcastle programme e.g. Nordic Walking, Cycling.
Jill Says “I have made new friends through Active Newcastle, and whilst we continue to get involved with Active Newcastle activities, we now organise our own things as well. “
The Active Newcastle Golf sessions are social and fun and are in a great setting. Everyone is welcome and we are here to help make your experience as easy and as enjoyable as possible
