World Cup of Tennis

The Northumberland club will host the Junior Federation Cup which is often cited as the 'World Cup of Tennis' and you're all invited to come down and watch! The Fed Cup is an opportunity for budding international female tennis stars to gain experience in their quest to become professional tennis players. The club will play proud host to tennis talent from countries including Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg and Portugal, with of course team Great Britain also getting involved.  Competitors from our visiting nations will begin to arrive to practice from Monday/Tuesday 30th/31st July. Our opening ceremony is to be hosted on Wednesday 1st August at 10am with all the nations national anthems to be played and flags to add prestige to the proceedings. We would love for all members, guests and friends to come and support our international visitors at the opening ceremony and / or the matches - so do diarise accordingly and as a result potentially see the future Wimbledon winner play on our courts!
