The Walker Activity Dome is located in Walker on the east side of Newcastle, it is affectionately known as the ‘Dome’ and is just three miles, and 11 minutes drive time, away from the city centre.
The Centre has a long and positive history in the east of Newcastle and we offer a wide range of facilities and activities for all ages, abilities and members of the family.
Recently redeveloped and fully opened in February 2012, the Centre now includes 10 new 5-a-side pitches, three 7-a-side pitches and one 11-a-side pitch, as well as attractive new changing facilities, a players lounge, café and bar.

There has also been an upgrade to the function suite and the inclusion of an activity studio and indoor cycling studio. We also have an impressive free weights area which offers the latest resistance equipment.
Indoors or outdoors, the Centre has a variety of activities for you to get involved in. From trampolining or gymnastics, through to boxercise or netball, and even a ‘kids only’ SHOKKage gym.
What’s more, we are always looking for new ideas and ways in which facilities, and time available, might be used more effectively. Nothing is cast in stone so if you have any ideas or suggestions we’d love to hear from you.
