Exhibition Park

Exhibition Park can be found to the North of the City Centre between the Town Moor and the Great North Road and draws it’s name from The Royal Jubilee Exhibition held in 1887. The only remaining structure from the exhibition is the bandstand.

There are a number of pathways throughout the park for short walks away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Within the park grounds there are two bowling greens, a boating lake (with rowing boats available for hire on weekends and school holidays), tennis, basketball courts and a skate park.
