Active Newcastle

Walker Park, located in Newcastle’s east end,  is an open green space in what is a well-populated part of the city.

The park is the only significant example of mature trees and shrubs in the immediate area, and has a series of pathways that lead across and around the park.

Within the Park there are two bowling greens with a pavilion, two tennis courts and a basketball court, which can also be used for five a side football. The park has two designated football pitches, which are used by local clubs for league games.
