Armstrong Park

Armstrong Park is situated in the northeast area of Newcastle, approximately 2km from the City Centre and provides a pleasant green corridor between Jesmond Dene and Heaton Park.

The main entrances are off Heaton Road and Armstrong Bridge.

There is a bowling green with pavilion which has an active membership.

There are also tennis and basketball courts and an informal football area with permanent five-a-side goal posts.

Armstrong Park is also the location of the famous Shoe Tree. We won’t tell you where it is though, finding it yourself is part of the fun!
