Formed in 1987, the Newburn Judo Club works with over 200 adults and young people each week, always staying true to the sport's ethos of mutual well-being to all.

The Club has an open door policy where all are welcome regardless of ability, disability, gender or ethnic origin. The club strives to develop an encouraging and positive environment and aims to nurture all members to be the best they can be as people, so they can benefit their own communities.

The Club prides itself on promoting social interaction, friendship, respect, confidence, fairness and pride.

Let's not forget too that the Club is also a fantastic place to learn Judo! Currently the British Judo Association's Centre of Excellence for the Northern Area, Newburn Judo Club has also produced many medal winners over the years.

All of Newburn's coaches are very experienced and qualified in the sport of Judo with recognised qualifications, and are fully insured to teach judo at all levels.

So if you're thinking about joining a Judo Club then come along to Newburn and step onto the mat, and don't forget to bring your friends or children along. You'll be guaranteed a warm welcome and the first session is FREE.
