Durham Visually Impaired Cricket Club
We are the only visually-impaired (VI) cricket team in the North East and are for anyone aged 11+ who is visually impaired.
No previous cricket experience is needed, all equipment is provided, and we have players from all over the North East.
We play Blind Cricket – a specially adapted form of the game which is accessible to players with all degrees of sight loss.
Most of our training and matches take place in Chester-le-Street and Darlington.
In 2012 we are entering a new Northern League, and two national knock-out cup competitions.
Beginners welcome.
Training sessions are from mid-January, and fixtures from April to September.
We play at various locations – Chester-le-Street, Darlington, Washington, and travel to away matches.
Membership fee is £20 per year. For away trips a contribution my be required.
