Cricket

Cricket is a dynamic striking and fielding game that may be played indoors though is usually played outdoors on a large oval field between two teams of equal sides normally 11 players versus 11.

Both teams get a chance to bat and field, with the side scoring the most runs (points) winning. A Batting Team plays in pairs defending a set of three stumps whilst trying to hit the ball over, past or in front of fielders to score. The Fielding Team attempts to get the batters out by diving, sliding, catching, throwing and bowling a cricket ball.

The sport places huge emphasis on players adhering to the rules, not arguing with match officials and playing within the spirit of the game. The players are expected to play hard but play fair.
