Active Push

Active Push is an outdoor exercise class for women who would like to get back into shape after having a baby.

Classes involve power walking and resistance exercises to tone those troublesome areas - and are available citywide:

Tuesdays
11.00 - 12.00 Gosforth Central Park (meet at the gates next to the post office).

Wednesdays
10.00 - 11.00 Heaton Park (meet next to the pavilion).

Thursdays
11.30 - 12.30 Jesmond Dene - Pets Corner (Starting 23rd Feb).

Fridays
10.30 - 11.30 Paddy Freemans Park (meet at the entrance next to the lake).

No childcare needed, you can bring your baby in your buggy.

  • £10 per month unlimited city wide classes
  • payable in each area at the first class of the month

What to wear: Please make sure you (and your baby) come comfortably and appropriately dressed for the weather. You should wear good fitting trainers or sturdy walking shoes and a good fitting supportive bra. It is recommended that you should also bring a bottle of water so that you can re-hydrate during and after the session.

Please note: you should have had your 6-8 week post natal check and approval to exercise from your GP.

The Town Moor

The Town Moor

The Town Moor is an interesting feature of Newcastle and home to the Hoppings, said to be Europe's largest travelling fun fair. It has a history as pastureland dating back to the 12th century and is still used today for grazing cattle.
